The Gaff nightclub and bar at Oxford Square is seeking to expand its ground floor and increase capacity by over 60%. The DA was refused under delegation of Council on 5th March 2008. An application has now been made to review that decision, and it will be heard by the Small Permits Appeals Tribunal (SPAT). The public exhibition period close on 22nd July. Sign the petition to "Say NO to The Gaff's DA". The many submissions received before 22nd July have been forwarded to Council. We'll keep the petition open until the matter comes before the tribunal, so it's not too late to say NO. Update: DA D/2008/1590 for former UN/DCM premises refused
The application was determined under delegation of Council and was refused consent on 22nd October 2008.

Update: Land & Environment Court hearing for The UN/DCM nightclub
The new hearing was held on 3rd, 4th & 7th April 2008. The Commissioner's decision has not been handed down yet. We'll post it here as soon as it's available.
