What You Can Do

These are some of the ways you can participate and make a difference

  • Act on your rights to complain - council and the police respond to a volume of complaints. Their lines are open 24/7, they protect your privacy and they're easy to talk to. Please use them.
  • Act on your rights and Report - ALL violations of your rights and license breaches by licensed premises - at the time they're happening. All the numbers you need are here. It’s vital to report EVERYTHING, EVERY TIME. Even though council and the police may not have the resources to act on your compliant at the time, they respond to the volume of complaints. The new police reporting system captures everything, and it’s important to get any violations on record as evidence for future legal actions and justification for increased staffing.
  • Register here to receive email updates on new development applications, proposed legislative changes and other matters which will impact on our neighbourhood
  • Add Information - let us know about any useful information you have that's not already on the site
  • Add your name to petitions - they are bound to become part of the site's activities. They actually do work to raise the prominence of issues in decision makers' minds. If you agree with a petition - please give it your support.
  • Tell others about the site and encourage them to get involved - the more the merrier, and the greater our influence and impact as a community.
  • Observe your neighbourhood - a lot of things go unreported. Be observant and use this site if you wish to 'publish' what you have seen. This is not a substitute of course for also reporting immediately to the police, emergency services or council rangers.
  • Take Pictures and Videos - and submit them to the site. Evidence-based arguments are much more effective than unsubstantiated claims. One function of the site will be to amass such visual evidence and to 'name and shame' offenders if we know who they are.
  • Volunteer your skills - if you have specific skills in writing, legal, government, law enforcement, liquor licensing laws or whatever, feel free to offer them through any of the forums on this site.
